Bobbi & Mike Carducci—
on caring for the caregiver.
Get to know your hosts.
For more than seven years, Bobbi and Mike Carducci were the caregivers for Rodger, Mike’s ailing father. They quickly realized they were unaware and underprepared for the demands of caring for someone with dementia. But with more patience and compassion than either thought possible, they cared for Rodger’s every need, through to his final days.
What neither Bobbi nor Mike could imagine is the amazing gift this trying time would bestow upon them, or how the message that Rodger left with them would change their lives and positively affect the lives of so many others.
Bobbi and Mike have dedicated their lives to sharing their personal journey with this cruel disease in order to support other caregivers. They willingly offer emotional support, practical tips and coping mechanisms to caregivers who often find themselves overwhelmed with fatigue, grief and even anger.
How grateful we all are for Rodger and how his much-needed message continues to be heard.
Meet Bobbi.

Living in the Washington DC area with her husband, Mike, they frequently welcome friends and family to share stories while enjoying a cocktail, or two.
Meet Mike.
Mike was the secondary caregiver for his seriously ill father for seven years, and also served as the “caregiver’s caregiver” for his wife, Bobbi. Now, Mike has joined his wife as an advocate for the in-home caregiver, speaking nationally on issues that are unique to male in-home caregivers and also how to support a primary caregiver. In addition to his role as a Certified Caregiving Advocate and Certified Music Therapist, Mike has worked with local assisted living and memory care facilities through their MUSIC & MEMORY® programs.
After spending 31 years as a civilian federal employee, one can only assume those many years working for the government made the transition to caregiver, an easy one for Mike.
